From watching all of these videos, I have learned that Kindergarteners use iPads to make iMovies in class. Everyone becomes a learner and teacher. Teachers teach students, students teach students, and student teach teachers. Kindergarten students teach teachers to use iPads and other technology. According to Kristin Ziemke-Fastabend, the iPad is like taking a virtual field trip to different websites. iPads help students learn different words. They learn how to say and spell words on the ipad. According to Carolyn Skibba, students use iPads to view images. Special Ed students use iPads to learn also. They use the iConverse app to communicate with their teacher. According to Kevin Cram, using an iPad keeps his students engaged with learning and interested in the material. He says that he pushes his students more and he asks more challenging questions. According to Jenny Cho-Magiera, who uses the iPad for reading comprehension says that her teaching has become more efficient. There are ten reason why technology should be used on the classroom. Students love using new technology. Technology engages the four key components which are engagement, participation, frequent interaction in feedback, and connecting to real world experts. Using technology allows students to learn other skills which is called professional development. Technology makes life easier for teachers, Technology improves test scores, Technology helps students with low attention spans. Technology helps students learn form experts. Technology encourages the completion of homework. Technology saves money and removes obstacles.
